I began painting in the fall of 1995. The first few years with oil, adding watercolor in 2003. I tried Pottery in 2006 and in the late fall of 2007 added Acrylics. Working in all of these mediums has given me a new meaning to the word challenge.

I am passionate about Manitoba Prairie Skies. In May 2008, at the Interlake Juried Art Show, my work “Storms Coming” placed 1st in the Oil division, and also earned 2nd place in Best of Show.

Landscapes, Flowers, Gardens, Pet Portraits, Northern Lights and more recently Abstracts, are some of my favorite things to paint. The subjects I choose helps to decide the medium I work in. My work titled “Morning Mist” in Oil, was selected for the Wellington West Capitol Award during the 2001 Red River Exhibition Juried Art Show.

My paintings are in private collections across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa, and more recently Iceland. I am currently a member of the MSA, the Gimli Art Club, the Winnipeg Local Colour Art Group and the Selkirk Community Art Centre.
